No More Osama

The big news, of the moment, is the death of Osama Bin Laden. It now, overshadows, Obama's birth certificate revelation, the Japanese Tsunami and nuclear reactor issues and even the royal wedding! I expect it will take a week before the next event occurs to occupy the media spotlight.

It appears that the search for Osama never ceased, despite Code Pink and others telling us that George Bush should have been looking for him and stopped with the Iraq War. As will all good things, timing is everything and Obama got to be the one who pulled the trigger. His supporters have quickly started to chorus what a great leader this makes him. Much like they blamed George Bush for 9-11, despite Clinton Foreign Policy failures, they are now lauding the Obama Administration for their decisive action, that was based on the Bush structure that was built to find Osama, after 9-11.

It brings a couple thoughts to mind. If a leader who has been hiding for years can be found and killed, why cannot another leader, Gaddafi, also be found and killed...since he has not been hiding. This really addresses the Obama leadership or lack thereof. When he suggests Gaddafi should go, but maybe not and we should be supporting the rebel forces...indecision is more his forte' rather than his strong suit. Osama's assassination underscores what could be done with the military and puts Obama's lack of leadership and focus in stark relief. We now know that he has no direction or foreign policy of his own but is quick to portray leadership when the chips all fall in his lap.

It is all about hype and hyperbole and we the American citizens need to see beyond the curtain and realize this emperor has no clothes.
